How It Began
A Powerline Company Shaped by People and Purpose
Arctic Arrow’s story began in 1981, when two independent companies: Arctic Power Systems and Arrow Installations, opened their doors on opposite sides of Western Canada. Though separate in geography, both shared the same commitment: delivering dependable, high-quality powerline construction services through hard work, integrity, and technical expertise.
Over the decades, both companies earned strong reputations as trusted powerline contractors, supporting critical infrastructure projects across the region. In 2010, Arctic Power Systems acquired Arrow Installations, uniting their experience, people, and capabilities. This milestone marked the formation of what would become one of the largest privately owned powerline contractors in Western Canada—bringing together decades of knowledge, proven leadership, and a growing footprint across the industry.
In June 2022, the company was acquired by Java Holdings Ltd. a family-owned company with extensive experience in the contracting and construction field. Together, as Arctic Arrow Powerline Group (AAPG), we are focused on providing a safe, positive working environment for our employees and investing in valued and sustainable relationships with our clients.
